About Us
BCL WAS STARTED IN 2024 TO OFFER FREE BASKETBALL FOR KIDS IN THE COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
BCL financially supported several other local teams and coaches in their efforts to help kids. BCL started 3 AAU teams for the Spring 2024 season and was a great success. Kids from several local communities participated in the program and received basketball training, encouragement, and support. All of the teams received free uniforms, backpacks and rides to the tournaments and practices for those that needed help with transportation.
The organization officially became a section 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a goal of helping as many kids as possible in the local community and beyond. Donations made to BCL may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Some of Our Proudest Achievements to Date:
BCL started 3 free basketball teams that engaged over 30 kids in the program. We participated in 7 tournaments that were free, many free practices, brought in specialized trainers to help the kids learn the game for free, picked up many kids, fed many kids, assisted parents that couldn’t traditionally come to watch their kids play because of the cost.
Provided over 30 kids with uniforms, food, high quality backpacks, care packages and an opportunity to “stay off the streets”.
Donated Basketball Equipment to most of these teams.
Currently have two teams playing for free in the fall league.
Paid coaches for practices and games.
